Course Content

The Key Stage 3 in years 7, 8 and 9 offers a broad curriculum keeping doors open for future specialisations in Year 10 and Year 11 (GCSE).

Our students are taught by highly qualified academics who have the talent to inspire young minds. Students develop their presentation and research skills by learning and discovering new things every day. They also have opportunities to lead and contribute to discussion, to take individual responsibility for their learning and to develop good personal organisation.

Our aim is to develop confident, independent learners who realise their full potential. Students will also have weekly sports and PHSEE lessons to meet National Curriculum requirements.

  • Suitable for students 11 – 13 years old, depending upon entry year
  • Introduce some key GCSE content
  • Instils good study habits
  • Individual care for each student
  • Begin to explore their possible future career choices
  • Students engage in daily Personal Tutor sessions (includes PHSE) as well as joining older students for After School Programme

Personal Development Programme

In addition to their academic subjects, students can follow a programme of after school activities. The choice is based on the students’ interests and can also be tailored to their career choices.

All students are taught presentation and performance skills using the LAMDA exams (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art).

  • Academically Able students are identified early for future progression to the Oxbridge or Medic support programmes
  • Crest Awards – national award scheme that inspires young people to think and behave like scientists or engineers
